Alessandra Singh

Alessandra Singh is a recently graduated Thesis student and Drawing and Painting major at OCAD University. Growing up in a very science driven family, Alessandra did not begin truly focusing on the arts until high school, when she fell in love with it. She works in acrylic, multimedia pieces, and digital work. Throughout the last couple years her style has evolved into woven portraiture which is currently her main focus. Her process is experimental, messy, and dynamic. Alessandra focuses on emotion, personal experience, anatomy, and the power of human diversity.

Alessandra exhibits her works at a variety of shows and galleries around Toronto. Her video work, Bubblewrapped, was screened at the TIFF Lightbox Theatre as part of OCADSU's Spring Festival. Additionally, her painting, Jane, was recently exhibited at Gallery1313 as part of DesignTO's festival as well as WestPark Hospital. Alessandra enjoys primarily exploring concepts of feminism and human experience.
